explain-product-width

Width is expressed like this: 24/24. This literally means "24mm wide by 24mm wide". The first "24" is the width of the strap between the lugs of the watch. The second "24" is the width of the strap at the buckle.
There are two types of straps: "Straight" and "Tapered".
A "straight" strap is one where the width is the same the entire length of the strap, i.e. 24/24. I personally reccommend straight straps for most Panerai styled watches as a straight strap will bring out the historic character of your watch very nicely.
A "tapered" strap is one where the width tapers from the lug end of the strap to the buckle end, i.e. 24/22. I generally suggest tapered straps only if you are using the strap for a dressier look on your watch.
